Dr. Vuyo B. Mpumlwana, C. Psych. is a registered Psychologist, author, and Director of Bridge To Restoration Psychological Services. She has over 25 years experience of working with individuals - children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Vuyo works well with new Canadians who struggle with adjustment to the North American culture through group therapy for teenagers of immigrant parents. She provides Clinical Assessments and Psycho-Educational Diagnostic Assessments that help to clarify issues related to Learning Difficulties and other school related concerns. Her approach to psychotherapy is client-centered, employing evidence-based strategies, such as Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as well as Family Systems.
Lance holds a Master's of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. He has facilitated individual, peer, group, and family counselling in Jamaica and Canada for children, teens, and their families experiencing anger, disruptive behaviours, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, and family conflict. He utilises a client-centred, solution-focused approach, integrating evidence based techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Lance is passionate about helping young adults overcome emotional/social challenges in order to discover new meaning to life.

Shael Katz graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours BSc. in Psychology and a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto. As an educator and member of the Ontario College of Teachers, he focuses on strengths-based learning designs, differentiated instruction, and assessment methods. His experience spans teaching regular and special education students in both private and public K-12 institutions.
Shael is passionate about using classroom and formal assessments to inform personalized learning plans, including IEPs, Positive Behaviour Plans, and Safety Plans. He collaborates with colleagues to bridge the gap between assessment and instruction, staying current on evidence-based practices through his connections with online learning networks. He emphasizes the importance of student voice, helping students become their own best advocates.
Since joining Bridge to Restoration Psychological Services in mid-2023, Shael has brought his expertise in educational psychology to the team, enhancing our ability to support clients with tailored educational strategies. At Bridge to Restoration, we specialize in a range of services including anxiety therapy, depression therapy, trauma therapy, and psycho-educational assessments. Shael's tutorial services focus on Mathematics, Sciences, and Literacy for middle and secondary school students, and he has specialized training in comprehensive and gifted psychoeducational assessments.
